Sri Krishnadevaraya University Law Common Entrance Test (LAWCET) and Post Graduate Law Common Entrance Test (PGLCET), which will be conducted in May 2016. The test is being conducted under the aegis of Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE), Hyderabad. The LAWCET and PGLCET will be held on Saturday, May 28, 2016.

LAWCET will be conducted for taking admission to 3 years & 5 years Bachelor of Law (LL.B) programs and PGLCET is conducted for taking admission to 2 years Master of Law (LL.M) programs for the academic year 2016.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • For 3 Year LL.B Program: Candidates should have appeared or passed any graduation (10+2+3 pattern) of a recognized university with 45% of aggregate marks or any other examination recognized as equivalent by the universities concerned. If any candidate secured less than 45% in graduation he should have passed any additional graduation or post graduation with 45%.
  • For 5 Year LL.B Programs:Candidates should have appeared or passed 2 year intermediate examination (10+2 pattern) with 45% of aggregate marks for any other examination recognized as equivalent by the university concerned or the board of intermediate education, A.P.
  • For LL.M:Candidate holding LL.B,B.L degree on the date of application and candidates who have appeared, appearing for LL.B,B.L, final year examination are also eligible.

Paper Pattern:

For LAWCET: The test is designed to evaluate the candidate’s ability and aptitude to pursue the study of Law. The test consists of three parts. Total number of questions will be 120 and the duration of test is 90 minutes. Maximum marks are 120.

Part – A: Consists of 30 questions carrying 30 marks: General Knowledge and Mental Ability

Part – B: Consists of 30 questions carrying 30 marks: Current Affairs

Part – C: Consists of 60 questions carrying 60 marks: Aptitude for the Study of Law.

For PGLCET: A single entrance test is conducted for all the courses of LL.M. It is of 90 minutes duration and consists of 120 questions of 1 mark each.

Part-A consists of 40 questions carrying 40 marks (Jurisprudence 20, Constitutional Law 20)

Part -B consists of 80 questions carrying 80 marks: (Public International Law 16, Mercantile Law 16, Labour Law 16, Crimes and Torts 16, and IPR & Other Laws 16)

  • Part-B: will be a written test with a set of descriptive questions in English. Candidate is expected to write two short answers in 30 minutes carrying 40 marks. It is compulsory for the candidates to attempt both the parts.
  • Both part A & part B will have separate cut off marks for evaluation.

UPCAT BDS 2016, Uttar Pradesh Common Admission Test 2016


Association of Private Medical and Dental Colleges of Uttar Pradesh Common Admission Test (UPCAT BDS-2016), which will be conducted in May 2016. The UPCAT BDS will be held on Sunday, May 15, 2016.

UPCAT BDS is conducted for admission to Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) offered in all the private dental colleges of Uttar Pradesh for the session 2016.

Eligibility Criteria for UPCAT BDS 2016:

  • Candidates should have completed the age of 17 years on or before 31st December, of the year of admission to the BDS program.
  • Candidates should have passed the higher secondary examination or the Indian school certificate examination which is equivalent to 10+2 higher secondary examination after a period of 12 years study, the last two year of study comprising of Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics or any must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks (40% marks for SC,ST candidates) taken together in Physics, Chemistry and Biology at the qualifying examination and in addition must have come in the merit list prepared as a result of such competitive by securing not less than 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry & Biology taken together in the competitive examination.

  • The entrance examination will comprise of an objective type examination of 180 minutes duration containing 200 questions of 200 marks.
  • There will be 50 questions each for Physics, Chemistry, Zoology & Botany. The syllabus for entrance examination will be as per the 10+2 examination (ICSE, CBSE, U.P board or equivalent).
  • The question paper will be given in English only.
  • The candidate is required to answer 200 MCQs in 3 hours. Each question shall carry equal marks.
  • All questions will be objective type with Multiple (A, B, C, D) choice of which, only one will be the appropriate response and therefore the correct choice.
  • Each correct answer will be awarded one mark.
  • Zero marks shall be given to no response. There will be no negative marking for incorrect answer or more than one choice indicated against a question.

How to Apply:

Application Form: A candidate who desire to appear for All India Common Entrance Test of this Vidyapeeth will required to submit an application in the prescribed form along with attested copies of the documents in support of application

Entrance Test Fee: The entrance test fee is Rs.1500/-

Ø       The fee is payable by cash or demand draft, drawn in favour of Sumandeep Vidyapeeth of nationalized, schedule bank, payable at Vadodara

Ø       The candidate should write his, her name and address on the back side of the demand draft

Ø       The last date of receipt of completed application form along with requisite documents and entrance test fee at the office of Register, Sumandeep Vidyapeeth Piparia.

Hall Ticket: Hall Tickets carrying photograph of the candidate shall be issued to the candidates who is eligible to appear for the entrance test, for this purpose the candidate must submit two copy of recent passport size photograph (not more than three months old) along with the application form

Declaration of Result: The result of the All India Common Entrance Test-2016 in the form of merit list arranged according to the marks obtained by the candidates will be declared at Sumandeep Vidyapeeth office and on website
