JOINT ENTRANCE EXAMINATION FOR BVSc & AH (EVETS) – 2013

Notice of admission to Bachelor of Veterinary Sciences and Animal Husbandry Course (BVSc & AH) in West Bengal University of Animal and Fishery Sciences for the academic session 2013-14 through Joint Entrance Test – 2013 to be conducted by the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board.

Date of Examination: Saturday, 1st June, 2013.

Eligibility:

(a) Candidates must be citizens of India and have attained 17 years of age as on 1st July, 2013. There is no upper age limit.

(b) Educational Qualification: General Candidates must have passed H.S. (10+2) Examination of West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education or equivalent examination recognized by the West Bengal University of Animal and Fishery Sciences with individual pass marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, English and Vernacular (or any other fifth subject) along with a minimum of 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken together in the said qualifying examination (10+2). In respect of SC/ST and PC candidates the aforesaid marks will be 40% instead of 50%. The candidates appearing in (10+2) Examination, 2013 and subsequently fulfilling the above criteria are also eligible to appear in EVETS-2013.

Application: Candidates can apply either online or offline. For online application, visit the home page of CUCET website, click on How to apply and fill the form for necessary instructions. Click on Apply on line to start applying online. For offline application, visit the home page, click on Offline application form download to download the offline application form. It is advisable to download the latest offline application form from the cucet website. The instructions for filling the form are given on the reverse of the form. Address of Universities is given on website. The offline application form can also be downloaded from the website of the concerned PU.

UPSC Engineering Services Examination 2013


The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) will conduct the combined competitive Engineering Services Examination from 28 June, 2013 for recruitment of engineers to various categories of the Indian Engineering Services.

763 vacancies (including 19 vacancies for physically handicapped, PH, candidates) are expected to be filled on the basis of the 2013 exam. The number of vacancies is liable to change.

Eligibility:

Interested candidates must be between 21 to 30 years of age and should have an engineering degree. For details about the age criteria, educational qualifications, nationality and physical standards of the applicants, you can visit the Engineering Services Exam 2013 Eligibility Criteria page.

Application procedure

Interested candidates have to apply online for the test. Make sure you apply before 11:59 pm on 6 May, 2013 as the online link to apply will be disabled after that.

Exam pattern

The Engineering Services Examination has a written part and an interview/personality test. The written examination has two sections: Section I (objective type questions) and Section II (conventional papers). There will be negative marking for wrong answers in the objective paper (Section I). The question papers are set only in English and the conventional paper must be answered in English. The objective paper (Section I) will be evaluated first, and those candidates that qualify will have the conventional paper (Section II) evaluated. Request for application forms should be accompanied with Demand Draft & a self-addressed stamped (Rs. 70) envelope (27×17 cm).
  • For on-line Application process: The application form can be filled after downloading from www.iimc.gov.in. Each application form must be accompanied by a Demand Draft for Rs. 1200/- for General and Rs.1100/- for SC/ST/OBC/Physically Handicapped categories drawn in favour of Registrar, IIMC New Delhi. Last date for receipt of application forms & DD is April 22, 2013.

Sri Venkateswara University Tirupati LAWCET PGLCET Entrance Test 2013


The LAW Common Entrance Test (LAWCET) 2013 and Postgraduate LAW Common Entrance Test (PGLCET) 2013 will be held by Sri Venkateswara University, Tirupati on behalf of the Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE). The law department of the university is conducting the test for admission into a variety of law programmes in Andhra Pradesh.

Programmes

Eligibility:

Candidates must be Indian nationals, and must also satisfy local/unreserved status requirements for Andhra Pradesh.

Three-year LLB / BL (LAWCET)

In order to appear for the test, you should have a graduate degree (10+2+3) or equivalent exam from a recognised university with aggregate marks of at least 45 percent.

For Scheduled Castes/Schedule Tribes (SC/ST) candidates, there is a five percent relaxation of marks.

Five-year LLB / BL (LAWCET)

To be eligible for this course, you should have passed the two-year intermediate examination (10+2) or equivalent with a minimum of 45 percent aggregate marks.

For SC/ST candidates, there is a five percent relaxation of marks.

LLM / ML (PGLCET)

Eligibility for the course includes an LLB / BL degree. Final year LLB / BL students appearing (or who have appeared) for their exam are also eligible.

How to Apply:

Application procedure

You must apply online to appear for the test. You will need to have all necessary documents ready, including date of birth, hall ticket for Secondary School Certificate exam (or equivalent), local status, applicable certificates and parental income. For LAWCET, the fee is Rs 250, for PGLCET the fee is Rs 500. You can pay for the test by debit or credit card. You may also submit payment through AP online, e-Seva or Mee-Seva center.
