Eligibility Criteria for GAT 2016:

  • For B.Pharm Program: Candidate should have passed in intermediate or 10+2 examination from a recognized central, state board or its equivalent with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks in Mathematics, Biology, Physics & Chemistry.
  • For B.Tech Programs: Candidate should pass in intermediate or 10+2 examination with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks in Mathematics, Physics & Chemistry and first class or equivalent grade in the qualifying examination.
  • For B.Tech in Biotechnology Program: Candidate should pass in intermediate or 10+2 examination with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks in Mathematics, Biology, Physics & Chemistry and first class or equivalent grade in the qualifying examination.

  • Candidates can apply online.
  • Applications can also be obtained by post from director-admissions by sending a request on plain paper giving the candidate’s name with complete mailing address accompanied by DD for Rs. 150/- drawn in favour of Gitam University payable at Visakhapatnam on any scheduled bank.
  • Applications are available throughout India in specified branches of Union Bank of India, Indian Bank and Karur Vysya Bank.

Vel Tech Dr. RR & Dr. SR Technical University has announced the exam dates for Vel Tech Technical University Engineering Scholarship Eligibility Examination (VTUEEE), which will be conducted in January, April 2016. The VTUEEE paper and pencil test for phase I will be held on Sunday, January 24, 2016 and for phase II, VTUEEE will be conducted on Sunday, April 24, 2016.

VTUEEE is conducted for the award of Mahatma Gandhi National merit scholarship for 4 year B.Tech degrees programs of the university.

Eligibility Criteria

  • The applicant should have passed or appeared in the 10+2 Higher Secondary Examination conducted by CBSE, ISCE, any State Board, the NIOS or the High School Certificate (HSC) Examination conducted under the direction of Cambridge University;
  • Candidates who have passed or appeared for the two-year Pre-University or Intermediate Exam conducted by a recognized University or Board will also be permitted to take up the scholarship eligibility test;
  • Candidates who will be appearing for the qualifying exam in April, May 2016 will also be allowed to appear for the Engineering Entrance Exam.
  • Students pursuing a Full Time, Regular and Formal academic or vocational course from a recognized higher secondary school or Junior college as stipulated by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi will also be considered eligible to apply.
  • The qualifying exam should have been passed by applicants with Mathematics and Physics as compulsory subjects and Biology or Chemistry as optional subjects.
  • Applicants are also required to have secured a minimum aggregate score of 135,300 or 270,600 in PCM in case they belong to the General category and 120,300 or 240,600 if they belong to the reserved category. Candidates are also to note that the aggregate percentage will not be rounded off.
  • Only candidates who have not attained 24 years of age as on 31 August 2015 will be taken into consideration. In specific cases, however, the benefit of age relaxation may be extended by the management.

VTUEEE 2016 Application Form

Candidates, who are interested in appearing for the Vel Tech University Engineering Entrance Exam (VTUEEE), can send in their applications through the official website of the University i.e. website. The VTUEEE 2016 Application Form can also be downloaded from the website or obtained by post or in person from the University Office. Candidates enrolling for the entrance exam will also have to pay an application fee of Rs. 750/- the payment of which can either be made via one of the Net Banking facilities or by Demand Draft.

VTUEEE 2016 Admit Card

The admit cards for the Vel Tech University Engineering Entrance Exam is expected to be issued in the month of April 2016. The admit cards will be uploaded on the official website of the University i.e. website. Candidates are required to download and carry their admit card along with an ID proof on the day of the examination to confirm their candidature.

VTUEEE Exam Pattern

The Vel Tech University Engineering Entrance Exam (VTUEEE) will comprise of three parts viz., Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. The test will be for duration of 2 hours and 30 minutes and will consist of multiple choice questions only. While negative marking will not be applicable for the test, candidates will be awarded one mark for each correct answer.

All India Management Association (AIMA), New Delhi has announced the exam dates for Under Graduate Aptitude Test (UGAT), which will be conducted in May 2016. The AIMA UGAT will be held on Saturday, May 07, 2016.

Under Graduate Aptitude Test (UGAT) has been designed and administered with an objective of supporting 10+2 students for admission to bachelor programs i.e., integrated Master of Business Administration (MBA), Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA), Bachelor of Computer Application (BCA), Bachelor of Hotel Management (BHM), Bachelor of Business Management (BBM), Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) E-Com, Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) IT, Bachelor of Foreign Trade, Bachelor of Information Technology and Management, etc. on behalf of participating member institutes.

Eligibility Criteria for AIMA UGAT 2016:

  • The minimum qualification is 10+2 or equivalent from a recognized board.
  • Students appearing, appeared in 10+2 can also apply.
  • There is no age bar to appear in UGAT.

Application Procedure for AIMA UGAT 2016:

  • Candidate can choose any one of the following modes to apply:
  • Purchase the UGAT Bulletin with the registration form against cash payment of Rs. 500/- from listed institutes or from AIMA, Lodhi Road New Delhi
  • Candidates can apply online by making payment of Rs. 500/- through net banking. Or

Paper Pattern for AIMA UGAT 2016:

Manipal University Online Entrance Test (MU OET) exam dates have been announced by Manipal University (MU), Udupi. The MU OET will be held between Thursday, April 14, 2016 and Wednesday, May 18, 2016. Candidates can select the test schedule of their choice in the Online Test Booking System.

MU OET is conducted for taking admission to Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) and lateral entry to B.Tech programs for the academic session 2016.

Eligibility Criteria:

Duration: 4 years

Qualification: Pass in 10+2, A Level, IB, American 12th grade or equivalent with Physics, Mathematics and English as compulsory subjects along with Chemistry or Biotechnology or Biology or any technical vocational subjects as optional with a minimum of 50% marks taken together in Physics, Mathematics and any one of the optional subjects.

Lateral Entry:

Duration: 3 years

Candidates are admitted directly to 2nd year

Qualification: 3 years Diploma in Engineering granted by the Board of Technical Examination of a State Government or passed BSc Degree from a recognized University with at least 45% marks and passed Xll standard with Mathematics as a subject.

Candidates who will not submit the Manipal University 2016 application form, will not be issued an admit card. Hence, will not be able to write the exam. To fill and submit the form online, candidates will have to register on the official website and pay the application fee. Procedure to for MU OET 2016 Online Registration

  • Go to the official website of MU OET and click on register online
  • Submit all the details correctly
  • Candidates will receive the specific Application Number and password on their registered email id
  • Log-in the website by entering the application number and password.
  • Candidates will have to fill all the necessary information in 05 Steps including basic details, Programmes Selection, Contact details, Educational Qualification and Confirmation.
  • Next, candidates will have to submit the application fee, through any of the online payment modes
  • Upload scanned copy of the recent photograph and signature in the prescribed format

MU OET 2016 Application Fee

It is vital to pay the application fee of MU OET because without remitting it the application procedure will not end. The amount of fee to be remitted will be announced through the information brochure. However, till then candidates may check the fee amount of last year. It is predicted that even this year the amount of fee will be the same as last year.

MU OET 2016 Exam Pattern

  • The exam pattern of MU OET is as described below:
  • It is a Computer Based Examination
  • Duration of the exam is 2 hours 30 minutes (150 minutes)
  • Total number of questions in the exam will be 200
  • All the questions will be of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) types
  • The examination will comprise of 04 different sections named, Physics (50 Questions), Chemistry (50 Questions), Mathematics (70 Questions), English & General Aptitude (30 Questions).

The Joint Entrance Examination JEE-Advanced is an all-India examination administered and conducted in seven IIT zones across the country by the Indian Institutes of Technology (IIT) for admission to Bachelor’s, Integrated Master’s and Dual Degree programs in the sixteen IITs (IIT Bhubaneswar, Bombay, Delhi, Gandhinagar, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Indore, Jodhpur, Kanpur, Kharagpur, Chennai, Mandi, Patna, Roorkee, Ropar, Varanasi) and the Indian School of Mines (ISM) Dhanbad.

All the candidates aspiring to take admission in the undergraduate programmes at IITs and ISM Dhanbad, for the year 2016 will have to appear in the Paper-1 of JEE (Main)-2016, which will be conducted by JEE Apex Board during the month of April, 2016

Eligibility:

A candidate, including a foreign national, must fulfill each and every one of the following criteria to appear in JEE (Advanced) 2016

Criterion 1 – Performance in JEE (Main) 2016: The candidate should be among the top 1,50,000 (all categories included) in JEE (Main) 2016. The percentages of the total number of candidates for various categories is as follows:

50.5% for GEN (from the common merit list), 27% for OBCNCL, 15% for SC and 7.5% for ST. Within each of these four categories, 3% horizontal reservation is available for PwD candidates.

Criterion 2 – Age limit: The candidate should have been born on or after October 1, 1990 if belonging to the GEN or OBC-NCL category and on or after October 1, 1985 if belonging to the SC, ST or PwD category.

Criterion 3 – Number of attempts: A candidate can attempt JEE (Advanced) a maximum of two times and that too in consecutive years. Therefore, JEE (Advanced) 2015 should be either the candidate’s FIRST attempt OR the SECOND consecutive attempt.

Criterion 4 – Appearance in Class XII (or equivalent) examination: The candidate should have appeared for the Class XII (or equivalent) examination for the first time in all the subjects in either 2015 or 2016.

Number of Attempts in JEE (Advanced)

A candidate can attempt JEE (Advanced) a maximum of two times and that too in consecutive years. Therefore, JEE (Advanced) 2016 should be either the candidate’s FIRST attempt OR the SECOND consecutive attempt.

Earlier Admission Taken Through JEE Advanced-2016:

Candidates who had earlier taken admission (irrespective of whether or not they continued in any of the programmes) or accepted admission by paying the admission fee at any of the IITs or ISM Dhanbad, are Not Eligible to appear in JEE (Advanced)-2016.

Type of Exam:

In JEE (Advanced)-2016, there will be two papers, each of three hours duration.

The question papers will be printed separately in English and Hindi.

Candidates have to specify their choice of question paper language at the time of online registration for JEE (Advanced)-2016.

Each of the question papers will consist of three separate parts in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.

The questions will be of objective (multiple choice) type, designed to test comprehension, reasoning and analytical ability of candidates.

Registration Process For JEE Advanced-2016

Candidates should register for appearing in JEE (Advanced) 2016.

Registration is through the online portal only.

The candidate should satisfy each and every one of the five eligibility criteria [see 9. ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR APPEARING IN JEE (ADVANCED) 2016].

Registration will be cancelled if, at a later date, it is found that the candidate does not meet even one of these five eligibility criteria.

Even if a candidate did not opt for appearing in JEE (Advanced) 2016 while registering for JEE (Main) 2016, he, she can register for JEE (Advanced) 2016.

Application for JEE (Advanced) 2016 CANNOT be withdrawn after registration is completed.

Registration fee is NEITHER refundable NOR transferable.

Admit Card For JEE Advanced – 2016

Candidates who successfully complete registering for JEE (Advanced) 2016 can download the admit card from the online registration portal.

The admit card will bear the following details of the candidate: Name, Roll number for JEE (Advanced) 2016, photograph, signature, date of birth, address for correspondence, category and language of the question paper.

In addition, it will have the name and address of the examination centre allotted to the candidate.

Candidates should carefully examine the entries in the admit card and in case of any discrepancy, contact the Chairman, JEE (Advanced) 2016 of the respective zonal IIT.

In case the admit card is not available for downloading, the candidate should contact the Chairman, JEE (Advanced) 2016 of the respective zonal IIT.

A copy of the downloaded admit card should be produced at the time of examination. The original admit card will be issued to the candidate during the Paper 1 examination. This original admit card must be retained safely till all the formalities of admission are complete.

In pursuance of Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India, Notification, the 3rd Joint Entrance Examination (Main) – 2016 will be conducted by the JEE Apex Board for admission to Undergraduate Engineering Programmes in NITs, IIITs and other Centrally Funded Technical Institutions etc.

The admission to Undergraduate Engineering Programs at NITs, IIITs, other centrally funded Technical Institutions, Institutions funded by several participating State Governments, and several other Institutions shall include the performance in the Joint Entrance Examination, JEE (Main). For admission to NITs, Centrally Funded Technical Institutions (CFTIs) like IIITs etc. and other participating Institutions, the merit, rank list shall be prepared based on 40% weightage to school Boards marks in class 12th or equivalent 3 examination and 60% weightage to JEE(Main). The weightage to school Board, Equivalent examination marks shall be considered only after normalization.

The States of Gujarat, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Haryana, Uttarakhand, Nagaland & Odisha have joined JEE (Main) system. Therefore, the candidates seeking admission to the institutions in these states, which were earlier admitting based on their State level examination, are also advised to fill in the JEE (Main) – 2016 application form online.

The JEE (Main) will also be an eligibility test for the JEE (Advanced), which the candidate has to take if he,she is aspiring for admission to the undergraduate programmes offered by the IITs, ISM Dhanbad.

INFORMATION BULLETIN:

The detailed information bulletin containing details of examination, syllabus, eligibility criteria to appear, examination fee, cities of examination, State code of eligibility, age relaxation, process of normalization of marks, eligibility for admission, reservation policies and important dates will be available on JEE (Main) website on 1st December 2015. The aspiring candidates are requested to download the information bulletin from above mentioned website only and read the same carefully before applying.

APPLICATION FORM:

The aspiring candidates have to apply online only through JEE (Main) website. The online application process will start from 01st December 2015 onwards; the last date for application is 31st December, 2015. The eligibility criteria for JEE (Main) & JEE (Advanced) are different. The candidates are requested to read the information bulletin carefully and themselves ensure their eligibility as per the criteria laid down for JEE (Main) as well as JEE (Advanced). In order to facilitate the aspiring candidates, the JEE (Main) secretariat has designated Facilitation Centres across the country who will help the candidates in filling online application without any charge. The list of such institutes is available on the JEE (Main) website and in JEE (Main) – 2016 Information Bulletin.

Only those candidates who have passed their Class 12th Exam or any equivalent qualifying examination in 2014 or 2015: or those who are appearing in their Class 12th Exam or any equivalent qualifying examination in 2016 are eligible to appear in JEE (Main) – 2016. Candidates who passed Class 12th,Qualifying examination in 2013 or before as well as those who will appear in such examination in 2017 or later are not eligible to appear in JEE (Main) – 2016. The candidates who appeared in class 12th, equivalent qualifying Examinations in 2013, did not pass in 2013, but passed in 2014 are also not eligible to appear in JEE (Main) 2016. The candidates willing to appear for improvement examination of class 12th in 2016 have to appear in all the 5 subjects as per the scheme of study of the concerned board. Further, they may also note that in the percentile system, the total marks (of all five subjects) obtained, shown on the mark-sheet of a particular year are required in JEE (Main) and also in JEE (Advanced). The marks from two different year’s (i.e. marks for 3 subjects from year 2015 and marks for other 2 subjects from 2016) mark-sheets cannot be considered for percentile calculation.

  1. NUMBER OF ATTEMPTS:

The number of attempts which a candidate can avail at JEE (Main) shall be limited to 03 (three).

  1. NUMBER OF ATTEMPTS AND AGE LIMIT FOR THE STATES OF MAHARASHTRA AND ODISHA:

Since the States of Maharashtra and Odisha have joined JEE (Main) system. The age limit, for admission to institutions in these states which were earlier admitting candidates based on their State level examinations, will be as per their past practice only. The number of attempts in such cases will also remain same as per their past practice. This will, however, be obviously not applicable for admission to IITs, NITs, IITs, CFTIs.
