DNB CET-SS January 2016

National Board of Examinations (NBE) has announced the exam dates for Diplomate of National Board Centralized Entrance Test Super Specialty (DNB-CET-SS 2016), which will be conducted in November 2015. The DNB-CET-SS will be held on Friday, November 27, 2015.

DNB-CET is a qualifying-ranking examination conducted for entry to post Doctor of Medicine (MD), Master of Surgery (MS), DNB 3-year super specialty programs for the session January, 2016.

Eligibility Criteria:

  1. Candidates who are in possession of post graduate medical degrees, Provisional Pass Certificates by 31st December 2015 in eligible* specialties and their medical qualifications are recognized as per the provisions of the Indian Medical Council Act 1956 or DNB qualifications may apply for CET-SS through online application. Candidates shall have completed his, her 3 years of MD, MS training by 31.12.2015.
  2. Candidate should possess permanent registration certificate of MBBS qualification and their additional medical qualification should be registrable with Medical council of India.
  3. Candidates found to be ineligible at any stage of CET-SS will not be permitted to appear in the examination. In an unlikely event of any ineligible candidate appearing and, or being successful in the CET-SS, the results, candidature of such candidate shall be cancelled and, or are deemed to be cancelled.
  4. Requests for appearing in CET-SS from candidates who are qualifying and getting their results of the basic eligibility qualification after 31st December 2015 shall be summarily rejected.

Candidate who are qualifying and getting their results after 31st December 2015 or likely to qualify after 31st December 2015 need not apply in the CET – SS exam as they shall be ineligible to participate at any stage of the admission process.

  1. Candidates already pursuing a DM, MCh or DNB course are not eligible to appear for the CET-SS till such time they have completed the duration of prescribed course or have been discharged from the course.
  2. Registration and, or appearance in CET-SS does not confer any automatic rights upon the candidate for admission at NBE accredited hospital, institute.
  3. Registration with M.C.I., State Medical Council, is necessary and its documentary proof should be furnished at the time of counseling.
  4. Medical Genetics:NBE has introduce DNB Medical Genetics as 3 years Super Specialty Course from January 2015 Academic Session onwards. Candidates with DNB,MD,MS qualification in General Medicine, Pediatrics and Obstetrics & Gynecology only are eligible to opt for Medical Genetics (Cut off date for qualification 31.12.2015)

For candidates with DNB, MD qualification in Medicine, Pediatrics, the merit list for admission to Medical Genetics Programme shall be derived from DNB CET SS: medical & pediatrics subgroup respectively.

Candidates with DNB, MS qualification in Obstetrics & Gynaecology shall appear in the NBE FET (for the same academic session as DNB CET-SS) for Obstetrics and Gynaecology discipline. Their FET question paper shall have 100 questions in Obstetrics and Gynaecology and 30 questions in Medical Genetics. The marks obtained in Obstetrics & Gynaecology component (i.e. out of 100) shall be scaled to 180 and a common merit list shall be prepared (based on performance in 180+30 = 210 questions).

Paper Pattern for DNB CET-SS January 2016:

CETSS – Medical and Neonatology will be two-section tests with both the sections separately timed.

The first section comprising of 180 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) with single correct response is mandatory for all candidates.

The total duration of the first section is 180 minutes.

The second section comprising of 30 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) Medical Genetics is for those candidates only who wish to pursue DNB- Medical Genetics.

The total duration of the second section is 30 minutes

Total exam time for CETSS – Medical and Neonatology increases to 210 minutes (excluding tutorial). Once the section one has ended, candidates will be given the option to either quit the test or proceed to the second section.

All India Management Association (AIMA), New Delhi has announced the exam dates for Management Aptitude Test (MAT 2015), which will be conducted in December 2015. The MAT December paper based test will be held on Sunday, December 06, 2015 and computer based test will be conducted from Saturday, December 12, 2015 onwards.

Management Aptitude Test (MAT) is a standardized test being administered since 1988 to facilitate Business Schools (B-Schools) to screen candidates for admission to Master of Business Administration (MBA) and allied programs. Govt. of India, Ministry of HRD approved MAT as a national level test in 2003. Any B-School – national or international can consider MAT exam scores as an admission input based on the score cards issued to the candidates.

Eligibility Criteria for MAT December 2015:

  • Candidates should be graduates in any discipline.
  • Final year students of graduate courses can also apply.

How to Apply:

Application Procedure for MAT December 2015:

  • Registrations will start in the 1st week of October, 2015.
  • Candidate can choose any one of the following modes to apply:

Diplomate National Board Centralized Entrance Test (DNB CET) 2016

National Board of Examinations (NBE) has announced the exam dates for Diplomate of National Board Centralized Entrance Test (DNB-CET-2016), which will be conducted in November, December 2015. The DNB-CET will be held from Saturday, November 28, 2015 to Tuesday, December 01, 2015.

DNB-CET is a qualifying-ranking examination conducted for entry to various post graduate programs including direct 6 years program in the specialty of Plastic Surgery, Neuro-Surgery, Cardio-thoracic Surgery and Pediatric Surgery for the session January, 2016.

Eligibility Criteria:

  1. Candidates who are in possession of MBBS degree, Provisional Pass Certificate recognized as per the provisions of the Indian Medical Council Act 1956 and possess permanent, provisional registration certificate of MBBS qualification issued by the Medical Council of India, State Medical Council and have completed one year of internship, likely to complete on or before 31st January 2016 may apply for DNB-CET examination through online application.
  2. Candidates found to be ineligible at any stage of DNB-CET will not be permitted to appear in the examination. In an unlikely event of any ineligible candidate appearing and, or being successful in the DNB-CET, the results, candidature of such candidate shall be cancelled and, or are deemed to be cancelled.
  3. Requests for appearing in DNB-CET from candidates completing internship after 31st January 2016 shall be summarily rejected. Candidates who are completing their internship after 31st January 2016 or are likely to complete after 31st January 2016  need not apply for the DNB-CET exam as they shall be ineligible to participate at any stage of the admission process.
  4. Candidates already pursuing a DNB course are not eligible to appear for the DNB-CET till such time they have completed the entire duration of the prescribed course or have been discharged from the course. Candidates who have joined DNB- Broad Specialty course in or after January 2013 session are not eligible to appear in DNB-CET January 2016. This shall be irrespective of their resignation or discontinuation from the course due to any reason.
  5. Registration and, or appearance in DNB-CET does not confer any automatic rights upon the candidate for admission at NBE accredited hospital, institute.
  6. Registration with M.C.I., State Medical Council is necessary and its documentary proof has to be furnished at the time of counseling and on the examination day.
  7. A Candidate can register & appear for DNB-CET January 2016 only once for admission to DNB January 2016 session. Registration for CET, more than once shall constitute unfair means and lead to disqualification and, or penal action.

ATMA (AIMS Test for Management Admissions) is the test conducted by the Association of Indian Management Schools (AIMS) to enable students aspiring to join management courses in more than 600 management institutes in India.
ATMA has been approved by the Ministry of Human Resource Development of the Government of India and AICTE as one of the five tests for admissions to the MBA, PGDM and other post graduate programmes like MCA by AICTE-recognized institutes.

Eligibility Criteria for ATMA December 2015:

The minimum qualification required to attend the ATMA is graduation from any recognized institute.

There is no restriction for minimum marks or any particular stream of study.

The minimum age limit for taking the test is 21 years.

How to Apply:

ATMA December 2015 Application Form: Aspirants can fill in the application form both online and offline. The online application can be filled along with submitting the fee by visiting the website. The offline application to download and submit the form with the fee. The dates regarding the start of application process has not been announced by the officials yet.

ATMA December 2015 Exam Pattern: The ATMA December 2015 will be conducted in an online mode on Sunday December 20, 2015. The exam will be divided into six sections with total 180 questions to be answered in 3 hours. The six sections will be Analytical Reasoning Skills, Verbal Skills and Quantitative Skills, which will be divided into six sections, i.e. 2 sections in each area. There will be 1 mark for each correct question and 1, 3 negative marking. The exam will be of multiple choice question pattern where each question is followed by 4 choices. The broad division of the exam is below,

National Board of Examinations (NBE) has announced the exam dates for All India Post Graduate Medical Entrance Examination (AIPGMEE-2016), which will be conducted in December 2015. The AIPGMEE will be held from Wednesday, December 02, 2015 to Tuesday, December 08, 2015.

AIPGMEE is conducted for taking admission to Doctor of Medicine, Master of Surgery, Post Graduate (MD, MS, PG) diploma medical programs offered at government-run medical colleges as well as institutes in all states, excluding the states of Jammu and Kashmir as well as the erstwhile Andhra Pradesh (Telangana and Andhra Pradesh) for the academic session 2016.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • A candidate, who holds M.B.B.S. degree from a recognized medical college or a foreign medical degree included in the Schedules to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 and who has obtained full registration either from the Medical Council of India or any of the State Medical Councils after completing compulsory rotating internship shall be eligible to take this examination.
  • Candidate must be an Indian citizen.

Application Procedure for AIPGMEE 2016:

  • Candidates can apply online.
  • Application fee is Rs. 2750/- for SC, ST, PWD candidates and Rs. 3750/- for general, OBC candidates. Fee should be remitted through payment gateway provided using a credit card or debit card issued by banks in India or through internet banking.

Paper Pattern for AIPGMEE 2016:

  • The examination shall be a multiple choice questions test delivered using computer network.
  • The test comprises of 300 multiple choices, single correct response questions in English language only.

DNB Candidates: Candidates who have undergone training as a DNB trainee at any National Board of Examinations accredited institute or any medical college, university recognized institute after having registered with NBE as a DNB trainee and are completing their prescribed (as per registration letter) training as DNB trainee as per the following schedule:

Submission of Training Completion Certificate along with leave records for DNB trainees is an essential pre-requisite. In case the candidate does not submit the training Completion certificate (as per applicable format given in Annexure III & IV) with the application form, his, her application may be rejected and fees forfeited

MD, MS

Candidates who have passed the final examination leading to the award of Post Graduate Degree from Indian Universities which are duly recognized as per provisions of Indian Medical Council Act 1956 i.e. have passed the final examinations for MD,MS degrees on or before 30th September 2015 can apply for the DNB Final exam in same broad specialty

Submission of proof of having passed the MD, MS final examination on or before 30th September 2015 is an essential prerequisite. In case the candidate does not submit the requisite proof of passing MD, MS before 30th September 2015, his, her application shall be rejected & fees forfeited

Post Diploma

Candidates who are registered with the Board and completing their prescribed training (as per the registration letter) by 15th April 2016 are eligible (Admission Session January 2014) Submission of Training Completion Certificate along with leave records for DNB trainees is an essential pre- requisite

Candidates not completing their DNB training at the time of submitting the application are required to submit provisional training completion certificate as per format in Annexure-III along with leave records and also required to submit Annexure-IV within 15 days of completion of their training

Such candidates shall be provisionally allowed to appear for DNB Examination at sole discretion of NBE and subject to compliance of eligibility criteria prescribed

NATBOARD DNB Final Exam Overview 2015

For Board Specialties: The DNB Final is a two-stage exam comprising of theory and practical component. An eligible candidate who has qualified the theory exam is permitted to appear in the practical exam

A candidate unsuccessful in the first attempt of practical exam is permitted to undertake two more attempts in practical these attempts shall be any 2 practical exams of the exams placed with the next 3 sessions of theory exam and after payment of full exam fees as may be prescribed by NBE

How to Apply:

Candidate is required to download the Application Form 1 and Application Form 2 from the website and submit the duly filled Application Forms along with the necessary documents before the prescribed i.e. 09th October 2015

Eligibility Criteria for admission to Master program as per ICAR:

  • Candidate shall have 6.00,10 or equivalent OGPA, vequivalent percentage of marks for general category and 5.5,10 or equivalent OGPA, equivalent percentage of marks for SC, ST, Cat-I candidates at bachelor degree level

  • The domicile requirement is not applicable for admission to Doctoral degree program

Actuarial Common Entrance Test (ACET) is half-yearly exam conducted for admissions to Business Professional who analyzes the financial consequences of risk this is niche profession with strict standards

The exam will be held at least twice in a year. As of now the planned months are: December and June

Eligibility Criteria

The examinee must have passed 10+2 examination or an equivalent examination with English as one of the subjects at 10+2 level

Nevertheless, it is expected that many of those who are already in education at higher levels and also those working and having qualifications in mathematical subjects would take up the examinations

Mode of Exam for ACET 2015

ACET is Computer Based Test (CBT) (It is a computer-based examination where the examinees have to be present at t heir chosen testing centre administered initially in forty-one cities within India at fifty-one centers)

The Actuarial Common Entrance Test (ACET) is given below:

IAI ACET December 2015 Exam pattern

The exam will be for two hours, the candidate would be presented 55 questions of 100 marks, and the distribution of questions would be:

25 questions – 1 mark each

25 questions – 2 marks each

05 questions – 5 marks each

There would be negative marking for incorrect answers. The incorrect answer will deduct half of the weight age of marks

How to Apply:

Application process

  • You can apply online for the exam on the official website of IAI: The registration fee (non-refundable) is Rs.3000 which includes the cost of the study material, ACET online exam and online tutorials. Payement can be made through credit, debit card or internet banking.
  • After you register successfully, you will be able to access the study material from the IAI website. Within 10 days of registration, you will also receive a link via mail to access the online tutorials. (If not, please write to us at acet@actuariesindia.org or call at 022-67843304)
  • By 4 Nov, 2015 you will receive a mail from “ATTEST Testing Services Ltd” asking you to book your exam centre, choose an exam date (either 2 or 3 December) as well as a time slot for the exam.
  • Keep a printout of your hall-ticket (admit card) without which you won’t be allowed in your exam centre.
