Common Admission Test (CAT) 2014

 

The Indian Institutes of Management will conduct Common Admission Test 2014 (CAT 2014) during a 2-day testing window (4 sessions) on 16th & 22nd November, 2014. CAT 2014 will be conducted by IIMs as a pre-requisite for admission to various management programmes of IIMs. These programmes are:

The GATE score of a candidate reflects a relative performance level in a particular paper in the exam across several years

The score is used for admissions to post-graduate engineering programmes (ME, MTech, and direct PhD) in Indian higher education institutes with financial assistance provided by MHRD and other Govt agencies

Admission to post graduate programmes with MHRD and some other government scholarship/assistantship at engineering colleges/institutes in the country are open to those who qualify through GATE. GATE qualified candidates with Bachelor degree in Engineering, Technology, Architecture, Pharmacy or Master degree in any branch of Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Applications are eligible for Master, Doctoral programmes in Engineering, Technology, Architecture, Pharmacy as well as for Doctoral programmes in relevant branches of Science. To avail the scholarship, the candidate must additionally secure admission to such a postgraduate programme, as per the prevailing procedure of the admitting institution. GATE qualification, however, is not required for candidates with Master degree in Engineering/ Technology/ Architecture/ Pharmacy who may be seeking scholarship/assistantship for relevant doctoral programmes.

  • AICTE announces the schedule for conducting National Level Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) to select suitable students for admission in management programmes for academic year 2015-16.
  • The candidates will be given two opportunities to appear in CMAT; first in September, 2014 and Second in February, 2015. The better of two scores will be used for admission for 2015-16.
