National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) is conducted by the Council of Architecture (COA) for admission to first year of 5 year B.Arch Degree course at all recognized institutions all over the country NATA – 2015 National Aptitude Test in Architecture acronym as NATA is held for admission to first year 5 years Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch) degree course for all Architectural Institutions of repute in the country that includies NITs, IITs Govt. What is NATA? The National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) measures the aptitude of the applicant for Architecture The test measures drawing and observation skills, sense of proportion, aesthetic sensitivity and critical thinking ability, that have been acquired over a long period of time, and that are related to specific field of study (Architecture)

Eligibility:

  1. Candidate, with less than 50% marks in aggregate, will not be admitted to the architecture course unless he/she has passed an examination at the end of the new 10+2 scheme of Senior School Certificate Examination or equivalent with Mathematics as subjects of examination at the 10+2 level.
  2. 10+3 Diploma (any stream) recognized by Central/State Governments with 50% aggregate marks.
  3. International Baccalaureate Diploma, after 10 years of schooling, with not less than 50% marks in aggregate and with Mathematics as compulsory subject of examination.

Paper Pattern:

  • The test is in two parts. A paper based drawing test and computer based online aesthetic sensitivity test.
  • The test measures aptitude of the candidate through two sections – a paper based section for drawing and computer based section for aesthetic sensitivity.

Common Entrance Tests for Admissions

There will be a CET common to all UG programmes, one CET for two MBA programmes; another CET common to the 2 M.Tech programmes; and yet another CET for the LLM (Maritime Laws)

The Indian Maritime University was set up to promote maritime studies, training, research and extension with focus on emerging areas like oceanography, maritime history, maritime laws, maritime security, search and rescue, transportation of dangerous cargo, environmental studies and other related fields, and to achieve excellence in these areas.

Eligibility:

Selection Process: Students will be selected through their performance in Common Entrance Test 2015

How to Apply:

Application Fee: Appliers have to pay application fee of Rs. Rs. 1000/- for unreserved category candidates and Rs. Rs. 700/- for SC/ST category candidates in the form of Challan in any branches of State bank of India or Indian bank.

Paper Pattern:

For UG programmes question paper will comprise of Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry, English, General Knowledge and Aptitude questions at Plus 2 level (CBSE, ISE and State Boards).

For the MBAs questions will be asked from English, General Knowledge, Aptitude, Financial Accounting, Economics, Maritime Affairs, Mathematics at UG level

For the M.Tech questions will be asked from English, General Knowledge, Aptitude, Mathematics and Engineering.

For LLM (Maritime Laws) questions will be asked from English, General Knowledge, Aptitude and General Laws.

The exam will be Computer-based or online and questions will be of multiple choice type.

Candidates who are shortlisted based on CET scores will be called for Counselling at designated IMU Campuses and will involve verification of original mark sheets and certificates, physical fitness clearance, and allotment of seats in the IMU Campuses or Affiliated Institutes.

  • Candidate should be either of 17 years of age on or attain this age as on 31st December of the Academic year in which admission is sought.
  • The candidates who are appearing for qualifying examination i.e. HSC (or equivalent) in February/March of the respective academic year are eligible to appear for entrance examination, however they must fulfill the eligibility condition at the time of counseling.
  • Candidate belonging to general category should obtain minimum 50% marks in CET (Common Entrance Test) conducted by this DeemedUniversity. However, admission will be on the basis of merit.

Admission Process: 

Admission to all Undergraduate and postgraduate program will be on the basis of performance in the All India Entrance Test conducted by PIMS University.

Admissions to all courses offered by University is steered by Admission Committee consisting of experienced persons.

The Admission Committee is responsible for conduct of the entrance test, declaration of results and merit list, counseling and final admission to the courses.
The AICET (All India Entrance) is conducted at various places in India for selection of candidates for admission to various courses offered by the constituent colleges of PIMS University.
Mode of Entrance: 

The duration of the AICET is of three hours.

The test is conducted on the predefined syllabus depending upon courses.
The question paper for the CET consists 200 multiple-choice questions (MCQ), each correct answer carries one mark.

There is no negative marking.

The AICET is conducted during May-June every year for undergraduate courses and in January for PG courses

EAMCET (Engineering, Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Examination) 2015 is a state level examination for those seeking the admission into UG courses conducted by the Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU), Hyderabad on the behalf of the state council of technical education. Eligibility:

The JNTU (Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University) will conduct the EAMCET 2015 examination on the behalf of the Andhra Pradesh and Telangana State Council of Technical Education. The Council has decided the minimum eligibility to appear in EAMCET 2015. Before filling the form, the candidates must have to check their eligibility whether it is meeting with the norms. The minimum eligibility criterion is as the following:

  • The candidates must have completed their 17 years of age on or before 31st December 2015.
  • The candidates must belong to the Andhra Pradesh state.
  • The candidates must be of Indian Nationality, Overseas Citizen of India – OCI (card holder) or person of India Origin (POI).
  • The candidates must have passed the Intermediate examination or its equivalent from a recognized board with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry or Biology or Biotechnology with minimum 45% marks for General or 40% marks for the reserved categories to meet the eligibility of EAMCET 2015.
  • The candidates those appearing in the 10+2 or its equivalent examinations, will also eligible to appear in EAMCET 2015. They should have to show their passing certificate at the time of admission.

How to Apply:

Application Form

The EAMCET 2015 application form has been available online on the official website from 28th February 2015. The aspirants may fill the form only via online mode. No other mode of application will be acceptable except online. First, the aspirants shall have to register for application form then they will be eligible to fill the form via online mode. The aspirants must have to feed the required details in the application form. After the completion of application form filling process, one need to go for submission of the application form fee also via online through debit card/ credit card/ Mee Seva online centre/ AP online centre. The application fee is Rs. 250/- for engineering applications and Rs. 250/- for agriculture and medical applications. The aspirants wish to appear in all examinations, must have to pay application fees as Rs. 500/- for engineering, agriculture and medical examinations. The candidates may pay the application fees by sending a DD along with the filled application form to the address given as mentioned below. Examination Pattern

The AP EAMCET 2015 examination will be held on the 10th May 2015 and the TS EAMCET 2015 examination will be held on the 14th May 2015 in two shifts as 10:00 am to 1:00 pm and 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm. the exam will be comprised in two papers, as one for engineering aspirants and other for agriculture and medical aspirants. Both papers will be asked separately in 160 objective type questions of 3 hours duration. There is no clause for negative marking. Each correct answer will be rewarded with one mark. The examinations will be asked in two languages as English and Telugu. Only at the Hyderabad centre, there will be liberty to choose the Urdu language in EAMCET 2015. In Each question paper there will be 40 questions based on Physics, 40 questions based on Chemistry and 80 questions based on Mathematics subject. All candidates are advised to carry the EAMCET 2015 admit card along with them.

EAMCET 2015 Syllabus

EAMCET syllabus will include in three major subjects as Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. The candidates should have a thorough knowledge in order to crack the EAMCET 2015.

Physics syllabus

The topics from Physics, which can be asked in EAMCET 2015 examinations, will be as physics world, units and measurements, elements of vectors, dynamics and kinematics, centre of mass, frictions and collisions, elasticity, gravitation and fluid mechanics.

Chemistry syllabus

The chemistry will cover the topics as atomic structure, classification of elements, chemical bonding, molecular structure, states of matters, periodicity in properties, solutions and electrochemistry.

Mathematics syllabus

The main topics which will include in mathematics syllabus will be as numbers, trigonometry, algebra, probability, vector algebra, calculus, and co-ordinate geometry.

The Gujarat Common Entrance Test (GUJCET 2015) is entrance examination for admission into Medical, Dental, and Pharmacy colleges in Gujarat state. The Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board conducts the Common Entrance Test – GUJCET.

Note: CRET-2015 shall have three Levels (Level 1, Level 2 and Level 3) of testing/assessment.

The Level 1 Test (multiple choice objective type test for assessing general awareness, academic aptitude and subject proficiency) and the Level 2 Test (subjective test for assessing subject expertise and research aptitude) shall be by means of Written Tests, to be conducted centrally by the University. The Level 3 Test shall entail an Interview and may include Presentations, Group Discussions or other modes of appraisal and shall be administered by the Doctoral Programme Committee of the Department/ Institute/ Centre concerned.

Eligibility:

  • Candidates must hold the master’s degree (or a degree recognized by the University as equivalent thereto) in a relevant subject from the University, or any other university or institution recognized by it, and must fulfill other prescribed conditions of eligibility.
  • Regular teachers of the Universityof Allahabad and of any institution maintained by it or admitted to its privileges and International Students are exempted from appearing at CRET for admission to D.Phil program. All other candidates for admission to the D.Phil. Programme in the concerned subjects are required to appear at CRET-2015

How to Apply:

A candidate who fulfils the minimum Eligibility Criteria and seeks to appear in CRET-2015 in a Subject that is available and is also admissible to him / her must complete, and submit through the Internet, as per modality and schedule set out in the following paras, the prescribed ON-LINE APPLICATION / REGISTRATION FORM for appearing for the Level 1 Test / Level 2 Test / Level 3 Test (as the case may be) at CRET-2015 in the concerned / admissible Subject and must remit, within due time, the admissible Test Fees to the University in the manner described below.

The candidate should cross the Demand Draft, and write his / her full Name, Father’s Name and the Subject in which he / she is to appear at CRET-2015 and Application ID generated upon successful submission of the Online Registration Form, on the reverse (back) lower left-hand corner of the Demand Draft. The candidate should also get Photo-copies (Xerox) made of the two sides of the Demand Draft, and keep them secure for his / her own reference and record.

The five-year Integrated Programme in Management (IPM), the first of its kind in India launched by IIM Indore, is a unique and creative programme to meet the aspirations of young students to become management professionals, change agents and societal leaders.

IPM is aimed at students who have passed out of class XII/Higher Secondary or equivalent from various schools in India. It is widely believed that our ability to influence younger students is greater. Therefore, IIM Indore’s objective is to attract young students, groom and mould them as outstanding leaders through a world class education. IPM, therefore, is a strategic fit in the overall context, vision and mission of IIM Indore.

The IPM, a residential programme, is a unique opportunity for the Institute to make a contribution in this important social space. It is also an exciting option for the young boys and girls to charter their profession in the area of management with a wider scholarly academic background in a social sciences setting.

Course Structure

The Programme would consist of 15 terms spread over a period of 5 years with each year having 3 terms of 3 months each. The broad design of the Programme would include education in Natural Sciences, Liberal Arts, and Humanities and Social Sciences setting. Accordingly, 40% of the Programme would focus on subjects related to the following areas:

  • Mathematics, Statistics, Logic and Computer Science
  • Introduction to Literature: Indo-Anglian, British and American
  • Introduction to Philosophy, Sociology, Psychology, Political Science, Geology, and Geography
  • Civilization and History (both India and World)
  • Exposure to Natural Sciences: Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Botany

Soft skills: Leadership Development, Personality Development, Team work and Communication

Second Module would consist of all functional areas of management like Accounting, Finance, Organizational Behaviour, Decision Sciences, Operations Management, Marketing, Economics, Information Technology, Communication, Legal Aspects of Business, Ethics, Corporate Governance, Corporate Social Responsibility, Business Strategy, International Business and Entrepreneurship. This would account for the next 50% of the course design. In this module, IPM students will do the PGP courses along with the 2 – year PGP students of the institute.

The remaining 10% of the Programme would focus on international exposure and internships in various social organizations in India.

Eligibility:

Eligibility criteria for this programme requires a minimum of 60% aggregate marks at Secondary/X Standard/Equivalent and at Higher Secondary/XII/+2 level/Equivalent for General and NC-OBC category candidates (55% aggregate marks at Secondary/X Standard/ Equivalent and at Higher Secondary/XII/+2 level/Equivalent for SC, ST and PWD / DA candidates). All candidates meeting the minimum eligibility mentioned above will be called for the Aptitude Test.

The shortlist for Personal Interview would be based on the candidate’s performance in the Aptitude Test and the final selection would be based on their performance in Aptitude Test (AT) and Personal Interview (PI). Government of India reservation norms would be followed while admitting the candidates. Further details about the admission process may be obtained from Admission section of the website.

During the tenure of the programme, candidates’ academic performance will be assessed on continuous basis and all those who meet the minimum requirements of the programme will be promoted to the subsequent year of the study. Those who do not meet the minimum requirements of the programme on yearly/term-wise would be advised to leave or repeat the programme. Those candidates who complete all the five years of the study and meet all the academic requirements of the programme will be considered for being awarded an Integrated Diploma in Management (IDM). The programme requirements will be decided by an academic council/committee of the Institute and the same will be shared with the candidates upon their joining the programme.

Selection Procedure

The candidates will be selected on the basis of overall performance in Aptitude Test and Personal Interview. Any candidate fail to appear in either Aptitude Test or Personal Interview or both shall not be considered further during the selection process. The selection process is as follows:

Stage 1: The candidates satisfying the minimum eligibility criteria should submit their application online as described previously in Section 2 i.e. Application procedure.

Stage 2: Based on the applications received, candidates satisfying minimum eligibility criteria will be called for the Aptitude Test (AT) to be conducted across 6 centers, viz., Bengaluru, Kolkata, New Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai/Hyderabad and Indore. However, IIM Indore reserves the right to change the centers at any time if the situation so warrants. The date of conducting AT is Thursday, May 14, 2015. The pattern of AT will be as follows:

Application Procedure

Eligible candidates should submit their application online during Monday, March 9, 2015 and Thursday, April 9, 2015 and pay online the non-refundable/non-transferable application fee of Rs. 1000 (Rupees One Thousand only) (Rs.500 for SC, ST and DA category). Candidates belonging to NC-OBC, SC, ST and PWD/DA categories need to produce valid and attested certificates in support of their reservation category. No change in the category will be entertained after submitting the application.

IPM 2015-20 Batch Admission Procedure for Domestic Applicants

  • AT will be of objective-type nature. The sample questions from previous year question paper will be uploaded on our website.
  • There will be two sections in AT namely Quantitative Ability and Verbal Ability.
  • There will be 100 questions in total with time duration of two hours.
  • Each question will carry 4 marks.
  • There will be a negative marking of 1 mark for each wrong answer

Stage 3: In this stage, the eligible pool for Stage-4 (i.e. shortlisting of PI) is created considering only the candidates having positive raw scores in both the sections of Aptitude Test. Individual regret letters will not be sent to applicants who are rejected at this stage.

Stage 4: Sufficient number of candidates for Personal Interview (PI) for each category (General, NC-OBC, SC, ST and PWD/DA) will be shortlisted from the eligible pool (refer Stage-3) using the merit list generated based on Aptitude Test Score (ATS) as mentioned Table-1:

Shortlisted candidates shall appear for Personal Interview at any of the six centers (as mentioned in Stage-2). Individual regret letters will not be sent to applicants who are not shortlisted for Personal Interview (PI). IIM Indore also expects a consistent and minimum performance in the different parameters of Personal Interview (PI), which will be decided by Admissions Committee. Candidates not meeting the minimum performance in any of PI parameters will not be considered for the next stage of selection process i.e.

Stage 5: The candidates satisfying the requirements mentioned in earlier stages will only be considered for the final selection. Category wise merit list will be generated based on Composite Score (CS) as mentioned in Table 2 and provisional admission offers will be made accordingly adhering to the reservation norms. No intimation will be sent to candidates who are not selected for final offer.

Reservations As per Government of India reservation norms, 15% per cent and 7.5% of the total seats are reserved for scheduled caste (SC) and scheduled tribe (ST) candidates respectively meeting IIMI’s admission requirements; 27% seats are reserved for non creamy layer – other backward classes (NC-OBC) candidates meeting IIMI’s admission requirements. In addition, 3% seats are reserved for persons with disabilities (as per the provisions of Persons with Disabilities Act, 1995) meeting IIMI’s admission requirements. The three categories of disabilities are: (a) low-vision/blindness, b) hearing impairment, and c) locomotor disability/cerebral palsy. This provision is applicable if the candidate suffers from any of the listed disabilities to the extent of not less than 40% as certified by medical authority and as prescribed and explained in the said Act.

Fees and Accommodation

Tuition fees for the first 3 years would be about Rs. 3,00,000/- per annum and for the next two years it would be as per prevailing PGP fees. Tuition fee does not include boarding and lodging charges. Accommodation would be arranged on a sharing basis for the first 3 years. Single room accommodation would be made available for the 4th and 5th year of Programme.

Faculty Resources

Faculty are drawn from various sources which include faculty members of IIM Indore, resource persons/visiting faculties from renowned colleges/institutes, industry experts and retired faculty members from Indian universities.

Student Activities

Apart from academic programmes, the IPM students are exposed to various extra-curricular activities in order to inculcate in them leadership qualities and managerial skills.

Note: A Study Centre as well as an Examination Centre of Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has been opened at IIM Indore.
