Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University (BVDU), Pune has announced the exam dates for B-CAT, which will be conducted in February 2016. The B-CAT will be held on Sunday, February 28, 2016. B-CAT is conducted for admission to 3 years full time Master of Computer Application (MCA) and 2 years lateral entry to MCA programs for the session 2016.

Eligibility Criteria:

For MCA Program: Candidates should have recognized bachelor’s degree of minimum 3 yrs duration with Mathematics as a course at 10 + 2 level or at graduate level and must have obtained at least 50% (45% in case of SC, ST category) at the qualifying examination.

For Lateral Entry to MCA Program: Candidates should have recognized bachelor’s degree of minimum 3 yrs duration in BCA, BCS, B. Sc(IT, Computer Science) with Mathematics as a course at 10 +2 level or at graduate level and must have obtained at least 50% (45% in case of SC,ST category) at the qualifying examination.

Paper Pattern:

• The B-CAT 2016 Test will consist of in all 200 marks. It consists of 200 multiple choice questions one mark each with four alternatives with only one correct or most appropriate answer. There is no negative marking. The break-up off marks will be as follows:

NEST 2016, National Entrance Screening Test

NEST (National Entrance Screening Test) 2016 will be conducted by the National Institute of Science Education and Research (NISER), Bhubaneswar and University of Mumbai – Department of Atomic Energy Centre for Excellence in Basic Science (UM-DAE CBS), Mumbai. The NEST is a national level entrance test for admission to various research programmes offered by the above universities. Every year thousand of candidates appear this test in the month of May.

Eligibility:

• To appear this test candidate should be met with the following eligibility criteria:
• The candidates must be passed the 12th examination from any government recognized university.
• The candidates should be scored in 12th examination at least 60% marks (55% in case of SC/STPD).
• The candidates must be passed the qualifying examination in year 2015 or 2016.
• The candidates must not exceed the age of 20 years as on or before 15th July 2016.
• 5 years age relaxation would be given to the SC/ST/PD candidates.
• Candidates appearing the qualifying examination may also apply for it.

Exam Pattern

The exam will be consisted of one paper only comprising in 5 sections and each section comprise in 60 questions and each question will carry one mark. Section one will be compulsory for all while section 2 to 5 will be from subjects as physics, chemistry, biology and mathematics. Only three highest scored sections will be considered for merit calculation. There will be negative marking in sections 2 to 5. The mode of language will be English only.

Tripura Joint Entrance Examination 2016

Tripura Board of Joint Entrance Examination has announced the exam dates for Tripura Joint Entrance Examinations (TJEE), which will be conducted in April 2016. The TJEE will be held on Tuesday, April 26, 2016 and Wednesday, April 27, 2016.

TJEE is conducted on the basis of its new syllabi as updated in 2015 at Dharmanagar, Kailasahar, Udaipur and Agarala to prepare merit list for admission to Engineering, Medical, Technical and other Professional Degree Courses against available seats reserved for the State of Tripura.

Eligibility Criteria for Tripura JEE 2016:

• Candidate must be a citizen of India.
• Candidate must be a permanent resident of Tripura and either the candidate or his, her parent must have been residing in the state of Tripura continuously for not less than 10 (ten) years immediately prior to the date of making application for appearing at the Joint Entrance Examination-2016.
• Candidate must have passed, appeared, due to appear in the year of joint entrance examination at the higher secondary examination of TBSE, CBSE or equivalent examination with the subjects in which he , she desires to appear at the joint entrance examination.

Paper Pattern for Tripura JEE 2016:

• Question paper of each subject of examination will be of 100 marks comprising of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ). Candidates seeking admission to Engineering, Technical Degree programs (Group-A) will have to appear in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and those seeking admission to various Degree Courses of Medical, Veterinary, Agricultural, Fisheries and others (Group-B) will have to appear in Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
• Candidates desiring to take chances in both of the above groups (Group-C) will have to appear in all the four subjects. Optical Marks Recognition, Reading (OMR) system will also be adopted in TJEE-2016.

PG Seat Distribution

The seats available for admission to medical postgraduate courses will be distributed as 50% to all India Quota & remaining 50% to the State Quota

From the State quota 25% PG Degree & 25% Diploma Seats from Govt. Medical Colleges will be distributed to the In-Service Candidates of Public Health Dept and ESIS Dept. (However for this clause GR of Govt. of Maharashtra is awaited)

The seats available will be filled in on the basis of State Level Merit in PGM-CET; there will be no regional reservation. There will be reservation in these seats as per Govt orders issued from time to time (Annexure “C & D”).

Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility Criteria for PGM-CET-2016 for Medical Post-Graduate Courses: Candidate must be an Indian National. Nationality Certificate issued by District Magistrate or Additional District Magistrate or Chief Metropolitan Magistrate or valid passport or School Laving Certificate of HSC,12th Std. indicating the nationality of the candidate as “Indian” shall constitute the proof of nationality (Persons of Indian Origin (PIO),Non Resident Indians (NRI),Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) are not eligible)

All candidates, who have passed final MBBS exam and completed, completing one year internship training by 31st March 2016 from a recognized medical college included in the Schedule of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 and situated in Maharashtra are eligible

The Medical College should have been affiliated to Non-Agricultural Universities established under Maharashtra Universities Act, 1994 or the Maharashtra University of Health Sciences Act, 1998 or Medical College affiliated to Deemed university as per University Grant commission Act of 1956 under section 13,A, situated in Maharashtra

Candidates who have passed Final MBBS exam from institute located outside Maharashtra, except candidates who are Domicile of Maharashtra and selected under 15% All India quota

Candidates who have passed final MBBS exam from foreign university are not eligible; candidates who are not completing internship on or before 31st March 2016

Candidates who have not obtained MMC, MCI registration

Fees for Exam: Cost of online application form of PGM CET 2016 and Exam fee is Rs. 3000/- plus Rs. 60/- Bank Charges; this amount is not refundable

Admission Criteria & Procedure:

Admission Criteria: Admission to the course Procedure is based on objective type Written Test and Group Discussion & Personal Interview (GDPI).

Test Component and Details:

1. The written test comprises of the following components.

6. The Group Discussion and Personal Interview (GDPI) shall have following component.

(a) Group Discussion: A group of 8-10 candidates will be given a topic for discussion.

(b) Personal Interview: Candidates will be evaluated on the parameters like personality, communication skill and general subject knowledge in management and international business.

The written test will be in held in English language.

Each of the Test Component will have 40 questions with four multiple-choice answers. Candidates will have to mark one answer in the OMR sheet with ball point pen. Each question will carry 4 marks. Full marks will be awarded for the correct answer and 1 mark will be deducted for the wrong answer. The duration of the Test will be 2 hours.

Admission Procedure: The Candidate has to appear in the Written Test first. After declaration of Written test result limited number of candidates will be invited for the GDPI in order of merit under each category. Candidates with aggregate negative marking in the written test will not be eligible for the GDPI. Appearing in GDPI is a mandatory requirement for consideration of candidate in the Final merit list.

Final merit test will be drawn on the basis of aggregate marks secured by the candidate in the written test and GDPI. The written test will have 75% weightage and GDPI shall have 25% weightage, of which GD shall have a weightage of 10% and PI shall have a weightage of 15%.

Entrance Test Date: Sunday, February 21, 2016 Timings: 10.00 a.m. to 12.00 noon.
