BDS Programme Admission 2015

Total Intake 100 per Year; Duration 4 Years: Internship 1 Years

Admission Procedure Submission of the application form for entrance test, admission by post or in person along with Photographs and other enclosures on or before 15th June, 2015.

Selection will be made on the merit based on marks secured in qualifying examinations (PUC II, 10+2, HSC or equivalent) in relevant subjects conducted by various Board, Universities and JSSU entrance examination.

The application downloaded from the Website of the University should be accompanied by a DD for Rs. 1,000/- drawn in favour of “JSS UNIVERSITY FEE ACCOUNT, Mysore” payable at Mysore.

The Date of Entrance Test will be followed by counseling held on 25th June, 2015.

The Exam Centre will be at Mysore centre only.

Admission of selected students to BDS course as allotted during counseling session.

Eligibility Criteria for JSS University BDS Admission 2015 

The candidate seeking admission to any of these courses should have passed the Higher Secondary Certificate Examination 10+2,PUC II ,HSC or the Indian School Certificate Examination (ISCE) or any other examination equivalent to 10+2,HSC examination of any recognized Board, University from any School, Colleges in India, Abroad after 12 years of study.

The last two years of study shall comprise of Physics, Chemistry & Biology (PCB) with English as a compulsory subject.

The General Merit Candidate should have passed in the subjects Physics, Chemistry, Biology & English individually and must have obtained at least 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry & Biology taken together and should have also passed in English language in the qualifying examinations i.e. PUC II,10+2 ,HSC or equivalent.

As per the Dental Council of India (DCI) norms the candidates must have passed these subjects individually and must have obtained a minimum of 50% of marks taken together in PCB, Further they must secure not less than 50% marks in the Common Entrance Test (JSS University Entrance Test – 2015.)

The SC,ST and OBC Candidates should have passed in the subjects Physics, Chemistry, Biology & English individually and must have obtained at least 40% marks in Physics, Chemistry & Biology taken together and should have also passed in English language in the qualifying examinations i.e. PUC II ,10+2 ,HSC or equivalent.

How to Apply for JSS University BDS Admission 2015 

A candidate desirous of appearing in the JSS University Entrance Test – 2015 for Undergraduate Dental Course (BDS) is required to complete the prescribed application form and submit to the University in the following ways:

A candidate is required to download the prescribed application form from the University website and submit the completed form to the University on or before the scheduled date.

The downloaded and completed application form should be sent along with a processing fee of Rs.1,000/- only by way of DD favouring “JSS UNIVERSITY FEE ACCOUNT”, MYSORE, payable at Mysore along with the necessary documents.

Candidates may also obtain the application form along with the Brochure by sending a application fee of Rs. 200/- only by way of DD favouring “JSS UNIVERSITY FEE ACCOUNT”, MYSORE, payable at Mysore. The duly filled application form should be sent to the University along with documents listed below enclosing DD for Rs. 1,000/- favouring JSS UNIVERSITY FEE ACCOUNT”, MYSORE, payable at Mysore.

Eligibility for University of Delhi

  • The candidate should have passed or have appeared in March, April 2015 in Senior Secondary School Examination of CBSE or any other examination considered equivalent by the University of Delhi.
  • The General Category candidates should secure an aggregate of atleast 60% marks in his, her XII class examination in four papers including English, Mathematics and other two subjects from the list of elective subjects as approved by University of Delhi. Minimum percentage of marks for OBC is 54%, for SC, ST pass marks in qualifying examination, for PwD 55%, for CW 55%. Other conditions are same as for the General Category.
  • The candidate should have obtained pass mark in each of the four considered for computing the aggregate.
  • The candidate must produce the confirmed result Marksheet of the qualifying examination on the day of the Group Discussion and personal Interview to be eligible for the process of admission to the BMS, BBA programs.
  • Candidates who do not have the confirmed result and Marksheet of the qualifying examination must be produced on the day of the counselling.

Selection process:

  • Admission will be jointly based on marks scored in the qualifying board and the entrance exam.
  • Candidates who clear the entrance exam will face Group Discussion and Personal Interview (Only for BBA, BMS). For BA (Hons) Business Economics, there won’t be any interview round.
  • The mark-sheet of their qualifying exam must be produced on the Group Discussion & Interview day. As for students applying to BA Hons. (Business Economics), the mark-sheet should be produced on the day of the counselling.

Panjab University will hold Lateral Engineering Entrance Test (PULEET – 2015) for admission to 2nd Year of B.E. Courses (Session 2015-16) at Chandigarh College of Engineering & Technology (CCET), Sector 26, Chandigarh and Panjab University Swami Sarvanand Giri Regional Centre, Bajwara, Hoshiarpur, on 12th July, 2015 (Sunday).

Eligibility Conditions

The lateral entry from Diploma to 2nd year of 4-year B.E. degree level would be open only to 3 year Diploma holders who have completed Matriculation Examination with Physics and Mathematics. In addition, the candidate must have obtained 60% marks in the aggregate in the Diploma Course as required by AICTE.

Admission would be made on the basis of merit obtained in the Entrance Examination to be conducted by the Panjab University, Chandigarh.

Scheme of Test

The duration of the Entrance Test will be one hour and thirty minutes and it will consist of 75 multiple choice questions of one mark each. The syllabus will be based broadly on the course contents as provided in the Prospectus. There will be negative marking for wrong answers (1, 4 marks will be deducted).

Merit List

The University will publish merit list of the candidates for the above course on the basis of attainment of minimum of 20% marks (15% in the case of candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes, Schedules Tribes, and Backward Class) of maximum marks in the Entrance Test.

The admission shall be made on the basis of the Entrance Test and Interview on 5th August 2015.

The Merit list will be prepared according to the criteria mentioned above.

Admit Card

The admit card will be issued to the candidate only provisionally, at the sole risk and responsibility of the candidate subject to final confirmation of their eligibility at the time of admission.

It is further clarified that the candidates will be taking the entrance test at their sole risk and responsibility as far as their eligibility is concerned and the university shall, in no way, be responsible if they are found to be ineligible, later, leading to cancellation of their result or any other consequence(s) emanating from the same.

Eligibility Criteria: 

He, She has passed qualifying examination as under:

  1. The Higher Secondary Exam or the Indian School Certificate Exam which is equivalent to 10+2 Higher Secondary Exam after a period of 12 years study, the last two years of study comprising of Physics,  Chemistry & Biology after the introduction of the 10+2+3 years education structure as recommended by the National Committee on Education; (or)
  2. The intermediate exam in Science of an Indian University, Board or other recognized examining body with Physics, Chemistry and Biology which shall include a practical test in these subjects and also English as a compulsory subject; (or)
  3.
