B.L.D.E.University invites Application for ALL INDIA UNDER GRADUATE MEDICAL ENTRANCE TEST – 2014 (BLDEU-UGET-2014) from eligible Candidates for admission to SHRI. B.M.PATILMEDICALCOLLEGE, HOSPITAL & RESEARCH CENTRE, BIJAPUR, the constituent college.

Admission will be made in accordance with admission policy of BLDEUniversity, which has been framed as per the guidelines of MCI and UGC.

Eligibility Criteria

  • The candidate must be a citizen of India
  • The Candidate should be 17 years of age
  • The candidate must have passed the qualifying examination which is 2nd PUC or 10+2 higher secondary or equivalent examination
  • The last two years of study should have comprised of Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Bio-technology (PCB)
  • The candidate must have secured at least 50% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology in the qualifying examination if he/she belongs to general category and 40% if he/she belongs to SC/ST category
  • Candidates who are appearing in the qualifying examination can also apply

Selection Process:

After the BLDE UGET 2014 has been conducted a selection panel comes up with a merit list based on the marks secured by the candidates in BLDE UGET 2014, the merit list is published on the official website of the conducting authority and candidates are called upon for seat allocation and counseling.

Exam Pattern:

BLDE UGET 2014 will be a 3 hour exam consisting of 180 questions with each question carrying 1 mark. 60 questions each will be asked from Physics, Chemistry and Biology There will be no Negative marking for a wrong response.

Exam Syllabus:

BLDE UGET 2014 will be based on the standard 1st and 2nd PUC syllabus for Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.

How to Apply:

Application Form:

The candidate will be required to first logon to the official website and fill in the online application form.

After filling up the form the candidate will be required to take the printout of the application form, paste a recent passport size photograph, sign in the space provided, get the application form attested by a Gazetted officer and send it to the BLDEUniversity along with the DD for payment of Application Fee

The candidate also has to send two additional Passport size photographs and attested photocopies of the following:

10th Standard Certificate

12th Standard Certificate

Caste Certificate (In case candidate belongs to a reserved category)

 The candidate can send the aforementioned either in Person, Post or Courier to the University.

Application fee: The application fee for BLDE UGET was Rs. 1500/- for 2013 it can be expected to remain the same or vary ever so slightly from this number

Eligibility:

  • For M.B.B.S/BDS Program
  • Candidate must be Indian National.
    The nationality certificate issued by the District Magistrate / Additional District Magistrate / Chief Metropolitan Magistrate or a valid passport will be considered as a proof of Nationality.
  • Candidate must have passed qualifying examination i.e. HSC (or equivalent) examination with the subject Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English.
  • Candidate belonging to general category must have passed in the subjects of Physics,Chemistry, Biology and English individually and must have obtained a minimum 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken together at the HSC ( or equivalent) examination.
  • Candidate belonging to backward classes must have passed in the subjects of Physics,Chemistry, Biology and English individually and must have obtained a minimum 40% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken together at the HSC (or equivalent) examination.
  • Candidate should be either of 17 years of age on or attain this age as on 31st December of the Academic year in which admission is sought.
  • The candidates who are appearing for qualifying examination i.e. HSC (or equivalent) in February/March of the respective academic year are eligible to appear for entrance examination, however they must fulfill the eligibility condition at the time of counseling.
  • Candidate belonging to general category should obtain minimum 50% marks in CET (Common Entrance Test) conducted by this DeemedUniversity. However, admission will be on the basis of merit.
  • Candidate belonging to backward classes should obtain minimum 40% marks in CET (Common Entrance Test) conducted by this DeemedUniversity. However, admission will be on the basis of merit.
  • Candidates studied (qualifying examination) under foreign system in India, are required to obtain equivalence certificate from AIU (Association of Indian University (AIU), New Delhi.)

Admission Process: 
Admission to all Undergraduate and postgraduate program will be on the basis of performance in the All India Entrance Test conducted by PIMS University. 
Admissions to all courses offered by University is steered by Admission Committee consisting of experienced persons . 
The Admission Committee is responsible for conduct of the entrance test, declaration of results and merit list, counseling and final admission to the courses. 
The AICET (All India Entrance) is conducted at various places in India for selection of candidates for admission to various courses offered by the constituent colleges of PIMS University. 
Mode of Entrance: 
The duration of the AICET is of three hours.
The test is conducted on the predefined syllabus depending upon courses. 
The question paper for the CET consists 200 multiple-choice questions (MCQ), each correct answer carries one mark. 
There is no negative marking. 
The AICET is conducted during May-June every year for undergraduate courses and in January for PG courses

50 % seats of each course are in this category. The admission to this category is made on the basis of interse- merit of the candidates at AICET.

The University does not charge capitation fee or any hidden fee

The tuition fee for M.B.B.S course shall be increased by 15% and tuition fee for B.D.S.course shall be increased by 10% of the existing fees for the remaining period of the course from the Academic year 2017-18.

The Symbiosis Entrance Test (SET) 2014 is a written exam that evaluates undergraduate candidates for admission to Symbiosis International University’s institutes.Symbiosis InternationalUniversity has a variety of institutes for different courses of study, each with their own process of selection. SET is not the only step to gaining admission to an institute.

Eligibility:

Eligibility varies according to institute and specific degree programme, but eligibility is generally passing of the 12th standard from a recognized board with 45 to 60 percent minimum marks for general category candidates (minimum varies by institute) and 40 to 55 percent minimum marks for Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes category. Candidates who are foreign nationals, Non-resident Indians (NRIs) or Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs) may apply. Age limits apply to some institutes. B.Sc. students must also be medically fit. Depending on the course, a pass in certain subjects is needed.

Exam pattern

The test has five different papers: Design, Engineering, General, Health Sciences and Law. Candidates can take more than one paper, but you may only take one paper for the morning session and one for the afternoon session. This means that candidates may take only one or two papers.

Time allotted for the objective test is 150 minutes. Questions have four possible answers. Negative marking is not used. All sections of the test are compulsory.

How to Apply:

Stage-1: SET Test

Register online at website

You may register for one paper in the morning; viz, Law or Design and one paper in the afternoon session; viz, Engineering, General or Health Sciences.

For Engineering and Health Sciences, if a candidate wishes to offer scores other than SET, he/she need not register for SET and apply directly to the concerned institute.

You need to upload your latest scanned photograph at the time of registration.

Follow the instructions for payment of test fee of Rs. 1500/- on the SET website. This includes charges for prospectus of the undergraduate programmes at SymbiosisInternationalUniversity.

Print “admit card” directly from the SET website from April 21, 2014 onwards.

Bring the admit card and a photo identity to the test centre. It will be authenticated during the Test. 
(Candidates shall preserve the authenticated admit card till the admission processes of the desired Symbiosis institutes are over. If the admit card is lost, no duplicate admit card will be issued.)

Appear for the test.

Stage-2: Apply online to the desired SIU’s constituent institutes.

The SET website (website) allows a facility to directly apply online to an institute.

To apply for admission to an institute, a candidate must register for the relevant SET paper. For example, to apply to SymbiosisLawSchool, register for Law paper at SET.

Candidates applying to Symbiosis Institute of Technology (SIT), Symbiosis Institute of Health Sciences (SIHS), Symbiosis College Of Nursing (SCON) or Symbiosis School of Liberal Arts [SSLA] with other than SET-2014 score should refer to the respective institute websites and apply.

Stage-3: Attend further selection process of the chosen institutes, if invited.

Each institute has its own cutoff, as mentioned in the prospectus. 

The institutes will announce short listed candidates for attending further selection process.

The individual institute as per their schedules will announce short listed candidates list & waiting list.

Important

While adequate care is taken in ensuring that there are no mistakes in reading the answer sheet by the scanning machine, there is no provision of revaluation of the answer sheet of any candidate.

The scores published by the Symbiosis Test Secretariat shall be final and shall not be subject to any appeal or revaluation.

The SET score card will be available on the website for a period of one month from the date of declaration of results i.e. from May 19, 2014 to June 20, 2014.

Those candidates paying through cash or DD, should ensure that,

Uttar Pradesh Common Admission Test Master of Dental Surgery (MDS) Course is a 3 year course which is run under the aegis of Dental Council of India which was constituted on 12th April 1949 under an Act of Parliament – the Dentists Act, 1948 (XVI of 1948).

The Dental Council of India runs under the aegis of Department of Health, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Govt. of India, New Delhi

Association of private Medical and DentalColleges of Uttar Pradesh is conducting the U.P Combined Admission Test as per the guidelines of Hon’ble High Court of U.P. for MDS 1st year in various specialties.

Duration of the Course:

The period of training for obtaining MDS Degree shall be three completed years including the period of examination

No transfer of seats from one subject to the other and one college to other college shall be allowed after final UPCAT 2014 MDS counseling.

Eligibility:

  • A candidate for admission to the MDS course (Master of Dental Surgery) must have a recognized degree of BDS (Bachelor of Dental Surgery) awarded by an Indian University in respect of recognized Dental College under Section 10 (2) of the Dentists Act, 1948 or an equivalent qualification recognized by the Dental Council of India and should have obtained permanent registration with the State Dental Council. Candidates not possessing a recognized Dental qualification for the above purpose should secure the prior approval of his qualifications by the Dental Council of India before he can be admitted to the MDS Course of any University in India.
  • Qualification for the above purpose should secure the prior approval of his qualifications by the Dental Council of India before he can be admitted to the MDS Course of any University in India.
  • Candidates who possess PG Diploma recognized by the DCI with the duration of 2 years (proposed) in particular specialty is eligible for admission in MDS in the same specialty and the duration will be 2 years. The syllabus of two years programme will be as per the concerned university guidelines.
  • Provided that in the case of a foreign national, the Dental Council of India may, on payment of the prescribed fee for registration, grant temporary registration for the duration of the postgraduate training restricted to the dental college/institution to which he is admitted for the time being exclusively for postgraduate studies.
  • Provided that further temporary registration to such foreign national shall be subject to the condition that such person is duly registered as dental practitioner in his own country from which he has obtained his basic dental qualification and that his degree is recognized by the corresponding dental council or concerned authority.

Applicants should send their application forms well in advance by ordinary post so as to avoid rejection on account of postal delay

Admit Card: Candidate should download and print the admit card from the official website of UPCAT MDS 2014.

If any candidates fails to receive the admit card or losses it, must report to the center of examination and procedure a proof of his/her identify and on proper verification the candidate will  be permitted to appear in the examination with duplicate admit card.

Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test (TANCET) 2014


Anna University, Chennai, on behalf of the government of Tamil Nadu has announced the Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test (TANCET) 2014 and is inviting applications for the same.

TANCET is conducted for candidates seeking admission to the following degree Programs of 2014-15 offered at university departments, university colleges of Engineering, Regional centres of Anna University, Government and Government aided Engineering Colleges, Arts and Science Colleges, Self Financing colleges (including stand alone colleges) in Tamil Nadu.

Some Universities and self financing Engineering colleges also choose to admit students on the basis of their TANCET 2014 scores.

Students from other states can also take TANCET 2014, but the eligibility conditions will be decided by the admitting authority/University.

MCA Lateral Entry

Toget into an MCA program through lateral entry, you need to have passed a recognized 3 year (minimum) Bachelor’s degree in BCA, B.Sc. (Computer Science, Information Technology) with mathematics as a course at 10+2 level or at graduate level and obtained at least 50% (45% in the case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in the qualifying degree examinations.

How to apply

  • Candidates have to submit only one application form as the form is common for all 3 entrance test.
  • Candidates have to pay an entrance test fee of Rs. 500 (Rs. 250 for SC, SCA, ST candidates belonging to Tamil Nadu on production of a copy of permanent community certificate in card format) for either one (M.B.A. or M.C.A. or M.Tech,  M.Arch, M.Plan, M.E) of the programs.

Registration process

1. Registration in person: Hall tickets will be issued to the candidates at the co-ordinating centers who come in with their 10th and 12th std. mark sheets (or 3yr diploma certificate) and cash or demand draft for the entrance test fee. 
2. Registration through internet can be done by logging on to website. The filled-in downloaded application form should be sent along with the demand draft and photocopies of certificate to ‘The Secretary, TANCET, Centre for entrance examination, AnnaUniversity, Chennai-600025 on or before 20.02.2014 by 5.30pm. The hall tickets will be sent by post.

3. The demand draft should be drawn in favor of ‘The Secretary, TANCET, AnnaUniversity, Chennai payable at Chennai obtained from any nationalized bank.

TANCET 2014 will be conducted across test centres in 15 cities in Tamil Nadu.

How to Apply:

SUBMISSION OF APPLICATION FORM:-

1.  Detailed Guidelines for filling up of the Application Form are given in Appendix: 5. A specimen copy of CET Application Form is given at Appendix: 6

2.  The applicants are advised to retain a photocopy of the duly filled-in Application Form before the same is submitted to the University.

3.  Online Submission of Application Form For the convenience to the applicants as well as their parents/guardians, the University is also providing the facility of On-Line Submission of Application Form for CET-2014. The application form along with the Common Entrance Test Fee of Rs 1000/- and Rs 100/- as postage and handling can be submitted through the Internet (to be notified on the University website (same as that for offline application). The Admit Cards will, however, be sent only by registered post.

4.  Submission by Hand/post 

The Application Form complete in all respects in the sealed printed envelope given along with Admission Brochure, should be submitted by hand at the University counter or it may be sent by Registered/Speed Post to the Controller of Examinations, Administrative Block, Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, Sec 16 C, Dwarka, New Delhi-110075.

After the last date is over, application form sent through Registered/Speed Post or by any other means will not be accepted, irrespective of the fact when the form was dispatched / postedTherefore, candidates are advised to submit their applications at the earliest, instead of waiting for the last date.

5.  One application form is valid only for One CET Code. For applying in more than One CET Code, the applicant should purchase separate Admission Brochure and apply separately.

6.  Display of Information on the University’s Website regarding receipt of Application Forms for all Common Entrance Tests – 2014

(i)      The details of application forms received by the Office of the Controller of Examinations will be displayed on the University Website. The candidates are advised to check their status with the help of Application Form number indicated on the Application Form.

(ii)     In case any candidate, who has submitted the application form either by post or in person, does not find his/her application form number on the University’s Website, then he/she is advised to contact the Office of Controller of Examinations, Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, Delhi, immediately along with the relevant particulars (photocopy of the duly filled in CET Application Form and proof of its delivery to the University). Qualifying Examination: Applicants appearing for LPUNEST-2014 should have either completed or shall be appearing in 2014, in final examination of 10+2 from Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE, New Delhi) or The Council for Indian School Certificate Examination (ICSE, New Delhi) or State Board or any other Council, Institution, college etc. declared recognised by Council of Boards of School Education (COBSE), New Delhi or any other concerned apex body as applicable.

How to Apply:

Option-I: After Purchasing LPUNEST-2014 KIT

Applicant may obtain LPUNEST-2014 Kit from University Campus, Camp Offices,  Designated branches of specific Banks/ Post Offices or any other prescribed place by paying cash or providing Demand Draft drawn in favour of “Lovely Professional University” payable at Jalandhar.

Once the applicant has obtained the LPUNEST-2014 kit, form can be submitted by one of the following methods.

Online Application with DD: Apply through University website (No Internet banking facility required).

a) Fill the application form at website
b) Take a printout (Laser or inkjet only) of the completed application on a good quality A4 size paper
c) Enclose a demand draft for Rs. 500/- drawn in favour of “Lovely Professional University” payable at Jalandhar

  • Questions will be from Physics, Chemistry, Biology (Botany and Zoology) and General Knowledge.

  1. Candidates who are interested in taking AIIMS UG 2014 entrance exam are required to apply online by visiting the official website of AIIMS. Kindly read the prospectus carefully before starting the online registration.
  2. Candidates are required to give order of preference for six new AIIMS like institutions apart from AIIMS Delhi. No documents are to be attached with the AIIMS UG 2014 application form.
  3. Application fee for AIIMS UG 2014 entrance exam is:

COMBINED BIOTECHNOLOGY ENTRANCE EXAMINATION

On behalf of the participating Universities, the Jawaharlal Nehru University will hold Combined Biotechnology Entrance Examination on 19th May, 2014, for admission to (1) MSc (Biotechnology); (2) MSc Agri / MVSc (Biotechnology) and (3) MTech (Biotechnology) Programmes being offered by various participating Universities (as per details given against each).

The entrance examination will be held at following 51 cities: Agartala, Ahmedabad, Aizawl, Allahabad, Amritsar, Bangalore, Bareilly, Bhubaneswar, Calicut, Chandigarh, Chennai, Coimbatore, Dehradun, Delhi, Dimapur, Gangtok, Goa, Gorakhpur, Guwahati, Gwalior, Hyderabad, Secunderabad ,Imphal, Indore, Itanagar, Jaipur, Jammu, Katihar, Kolkata, Lucknow, Madurai, Mumbai, Nagpur, Noida, Pantnagar, Patna, Pondicherry, Pune, Raipur, Ranchi, Sambalpur, Shillong, Shimla, Silchar, Siliguri, Srinagar, Thiruvananthapuram, Udaipur, Vadodara, Varanasi, Vijayawada and Visakhapatnam. Eligibility:

Eligibility Requirements for JNU Biotech Entrance Exam 2014

Bachelor’s degree under 10+2+3 pattern of education in Physical, Biological, Agricultural, Veterinary and Fishery Sciences, Pharmacy, Engineering/Technology, 4-years B.Sc (Physician Assistant Course); or Medicine (MBBS) or BDS with at least 55% marks.

Only those candidates who have passed the qualifying examinations in 2012 or thereafter including those who are appearing in 2014 are eligible to apply.

In other words, those who have passed the qualifying examination prior to 2012 are not eligible to apply.

Before applying, please ensure that you fulfil the eligibility requirements as prescribed above.

Also please note that permission to appear in the entrance examination is subject to your fulfilling the minimum eligibility requirements prescribed above.

Therefore, appear in the entrance examination only if you fulfil the eligibility requirements for M.Sc Biotechnology Programme.

Eligibility of candidates who are due to Appear in the Qualifying Exam

The candidates who are due to appear in the respective qualifying examination prescribed as eligibility for admission shall also be considered for appearing in the entrance examination.

Such of the candidates will be allowed to appear in the entrance examination at their own risk and on the clear stipulation that in the event of their selection, they will be entitled to admission only if they secure the minimum prescribed percentage of marks in their qualifying degree exam and that they will be required to submit all the documents including final mark-sheet of the qualifying exam (indicating the final and overall percentage of marks) before the deadline for admission fixed by the concerned participating university.

Scholarship: Students selected for admission to M.Sc Biotechnology programme of the participating universities will be eligible to receive scholarship at the rate of Rs.3000/- p.m.

The scholarship of Rs.3000/- p.m. for students joining M.Sc Biotechnology programme at the School of Biotechnology of JNU would be awarded to all the students during first semester.

In the subsequent semesters, the scholarship will be extended only in respect of those students who secure minimum CGPA of 6.00 in the end-semester examinations.

Reservation: 15%, 7½% and 3% of seats shall be reserved for SC/ST/PH candidates respectively.

All the SC/ST/PH candidates who have passed the qualifying examination are eligible to apply irrespective of their percentage of marks in the qualifying examination.

Only those SC/ST/PH candidates who have passed the qualifying examinations in 2012 or thereafter (including those who are appearing in 2014) are eligible to apply.

OBC reservation, wherever applicable, will be implemented as per the policy of each participating University.

Concession for Kashmiri Migrants: 10% marks will be added to the overall marks scored by a Kashmiri migrant candidate in the Entrance Examination. After adding 10% marks, in case he/she is covered in the cut-off point in the merit list, he/she will be offered admission strictly in accordance with his/her inter-se merit alongwith other candidates subject to his/her meeting the minimum prescribed eligibility requirements and also subject to his/her producing valid registration documents issued by the notified authorities certifying the candidate’s Kashmiri migrant status.

Combined Biotech Entrance Exam 2014 Pattern

The question paper for the entrance examination will be of three hours duration and divided into two parts.

Part-A will have multiple choice type questions at the level of 10+2 in the subjects Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology.

The candidates will be required to attempt 60 questions.

Total marks for Part A will be (60 questions x 1 mark each) of 60 marks

There will be negative marking and for each wrong answer, ½ (half) mark will be deducted.

Part-B will also have multiple-choice questions of Bachelor’s level requiring thinking and analysis.

There will be questions from Physics, Mathematics, Biology (e.g., Botany, Zoology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Genetics and Molecular Biology) and Chemistry.

The candidates will be required to attempt 60 questions.

Total marks for Part-B will be 60 questions x 3 marks each = 180 marks.

There will be negative marking and for each wrong answer one mark will be

Selection Procedure

The selection will depend strictly on the basis of inter-se merit of the candidate in the entrance examination visa-vis preferences for joining the universities indicated by the candidate In case a candidate has not indicated his/her choice for joining a particular University, his/her name will not be considered for that University.

The candidates will be asked to exercise their options for joining the universities in the proforma (which will be sent by JNU).

The candidates will be asked to send to JNU a Bank draft of Rs.5000/- (Rs.2500/- in the case of SC/ST/PH candidates) as initial security deposit giving their willingness to be considered for admission to the participating universities in accordance with their options for joining the universities vis-à-vis their inter-se merit in the entrance examination.

Candidates are advised to check the allotment of university on the web site of the university in the 01st / 02nd Week of July.

The participating university will then inform the candidate about the complete admission procedure and schedule of their university as well as the amount of fee etc., to be deposited by the candidate.

The initial security deposit already sent by the candidate through demand draft to JNU will be sent to the concerned University for refund after first semester.

Candidates may note that request for transfer from one university to another will not be entertained under any circumstances.

Therefore, candidates are advised not to make any request in this regard.

Admit Card for Combined Biotech Entrance Exam 2014

The candidates may download their admit card from the university’s website around 10th May 2014 and take the Admit Card to the Examination Centre with a copy of latest passport size photograph.

Those candidates who have applied and fulfil the prescribed eligibility conditions but somehow are able to download the Admit Card are advised to contact either the JNU.

The completed Application Form must reach JNU latest by (i) offline Application Form by 28th Mar 2014 and (ii) printed copy of the online Application Form by 02nd Apr 2014.
